Nour Hamidaddin

Nour (translates to light in Arabic) Hamidaddin is a highly driven ambivert and an Organisational Management expert. Family means everything to Nour - coming from a very large, close knit family - she considers them to be her greatest blessing. For Nour, the ability to connect with one’s identity is a gift however, coming from a multicultural background this doesn't necessarily come easy. Nour is originally from Yemen and carries 3 citizenships: French, American, and Saudi Arabian. Relating to a particular group was difficult for Nour growing up.

Nour has an emotional connection with food and it has played an important role in her journey of self-discovery. She explains, “Because we are all products of our environment, naturally, what we cook says so much about our experiences, our past and our traditions. That’s why I love cooking so much. Whenever I am cooking, I feel so in sync with my multifaceted background. It all comes together so beautifully. When you enter my house and dine with me, you get an idea of all the places my family and I have called home. When we share dialogue and discuss food, we learn so much more from others than just ingredients and recipes, we get a glimpse of each other’s heritage and culture, our similarities and our differences. It’s truly a humbling experience!”
